How to Create Email and SMS Templates
Templates in CareFunnels let you save time and keep your messaging consistent. Whether you’re sending emails or text messages (SMS), creating a reusable template means you don’t have to start from scratch every time.
When to Use Templates
You send the same type of message often (like appointment reminders or thank-you notes).
You want a professional, consistent tone across your team’s communications.
You’d like to personalize messages without manually typing in each person’s name.
Creating an Email Template
Navigate to Templates
In the left-hand menu, go to Marketing.
At the top, click Templates & Snippets.
Note: Avoid editing the newsletter section—it controls bulk email campaigns and shouldn’t be changed here.
Add a New Template
Click Add Template.
Choose Email Template.
Give your template a clear name (e.g., Thank You for Your Inquiry).
Write Your Content
Use the text editor to add your message.
Personalize it with custom values (dynamic placeholders). For example:
{{contact.first_name}}
→ automatically inserts the recipient’s first name.{{user.signature}}
→ inserts your saved email signature.
Save and Use
Click Save.
When emailing a contact, choose Insert Template/Snippet to quickly add your saved template.
CareFunnels will automatically fill in personalized details like the contact’s name.
Creating an SMS Template
The process is nearly identical:
Go to Marketing → Templates & Snippets.
Click Add Template.
Select Text Template.
Write your message, adding custom values where needed.
Save.
Your SMS template is now ready to use in any text conversation within CareFunnels.
Tips for Success
Keep templates short and friendly—avoid long blocks of text.
Use the contact’s first name for a personal touch.
Review templates occasionally to keep information (like office hours or policies) up to date.
