How to Block Scam Numbers

If you’re receiving unwanted or suspicious calls and texts, CareFunnels allows you to quickly block those numbers. This ensures scammers can’t reach your team and also prevents your system from accidentally messaging them.


When to Block a Number

  • You’ve identified a phone number as a scam or spam caller.

  • You want to stop repeated unwanted calls or texts.

  • You want to prevent CareFunnels from sending messages to that number.


Step 1: Open the Contact

  1. Log in to CareFunnels.

  2. Go to Contacts.

  3. Find the contact record associated with the suspicious number.


Step 2: Use the DND (Do Not Disturb) Settings

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the contact record.

  2. Locate the DND (Do Not Disturb) section.

  3. Toggle Inbound Calls and Inbound SMS to block incoming communication.


Step 3: Block Outgoing Messages

  • To prevent CareFunnels from sending any outbound texts or calls to that number:

    • Toggle the outbound communication option in the DND settings.


Tips for Success

  • Always verify that a number is truly unwanted before blocking it.

  • If you block a number by mistake, you can return to the contact record and re-enable communication.

  • Use DND sparingly to keep your communication lists accurate.
