We've added new automation and publishing controls for Video Testimonials, so businesses can act on new submissions immediately and control which ones show up publicly.
Two big updates:
New trigger for when a video testimonial is received
New controls for approving and showing/hiding testimonials
🚀 What You Can Do Now
1. Trigger Automations on New Testimonials
The moment someone submits a video testimonial, you can now kick off an automated workflow. Use it to:
Notify your team
Send a thank-you message to the reviewer
Create a task or note
Send the testimonial info to other tools
Run different automations depending on where the testimonial came from or whether the reviewer gave marketing consent
2. Filter Which Testimonials Trigger a Workflow
You can narrow things down using:
Marketing consent – only run the workflow if consent was given
Collector source – only run the workflow for testimonials from a specific form/link
Handy for running separate automations per campaign, service, event, or partner.
3. Use Testimonial Info Inside Workflows
You can now pull in details like:
Reviewer name, email, phone
Marketing consent
Submission time
Which collector it came from
The video link
Use these in notifications, notes, emails, texts, and other workflow steps.
4. Control What Gets Published
In your widget settings, choose how new testimonials should be handled:
Auto-publish (default) – shows up right away
Manual approval – you review it first before it goes live
5. Manage Testimonials in One Place
The Responses page now shows you:
Which testimonials are new and unreviewed
Which ones are currently live on your widget
A quick way to show or hide any testimonial — no need to dig into widget settings
